Configuration used for simulation before 2009:

This page shows you how to use computer with multi-display features (using FS2004) to get a full A320 cockpit.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 using 5 screens :

  • Projecteur Epson EMP500 (800x600) for panoramic view (cockpit 3D at scale 1)
  • Screen 17 inches for the first part of 2D cockpit (left part - CDB)
  • Screen 15 inches for the central part of 2D cockpit (central part)
  • Screen 15 inches for the third part of 2D cockpit (right part - First Officer)
  • Screen 14 inches for GPS, radio and thrust

Standard computer:

  • Processor AMD Athlon 4000+
  • Memory 1 Go DDR-SDRAM PC3300
  • Graphical video card 3D NVidia 9600 GS (used for projector and 17'' screen)
  • Graphical video card 3D NVidia Ti 4400 (for two 15'' screens)
  • Graphical video card 3D FX5200 (for 14'' screen)
  • Sound Blaster Live card (digital sound 5.1)
  • Hard disk 320Go 7200rpm/mn
  • Microsoft SideWinder Force FeedBack 2 (3 axis plus thrust)

Performances:

  • With this configuration, you can use all settings at their maximum (+high resolution) and you will get => 30 fps à 35 fps which is really great.
